Symmetric Constructions

Here are some constructions with 60° rotational symmetry. If c is the number of all hexagons in the center column it must be c mod 4 = 2 due to the conditions for constructions. Click the pictures to see a physical construction and the layers for a solution.

Here we have 120° rotational symmetry.

These figures have two reflection planes or 180° rotational symmetry.

All pieces are used for the constructions but there is only one reflection plane for the straight stairs and no symmetry for the spiral stairs. But nevertheless it's systematically built.

In the following constructions some pieces are left. This way a ring with 60° rotational symmetry is possible and a stele with a large rhomb as base area can be made.
